RN Clinical Coordinator - 6 West (NIGHTS)

Direct and supervise patient care during assigned shifts, making rounds to ensure clinical standards are met. Analyze shift workload to determine staffing needs, proactively pursue coverage for call-ins, and coordinate patient transfers, admissions, and discharges. Make bed allocations and assignments based on staff competence, adjust workload to meet patient and unit needs, and facilitate daily operations and workflow. Consult with the Nurse Manager on unit activities, organize work based on resource availability, and respond effectively to emergency situations. Serve as the Charge Nurse, mentor new hires, assess team clinical competency, and make immediate administrative decisions in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
