Job Summary
RN Clinical (Cardiac)—Surgery: Provide comprehensive nursing care for cardiac surgery patients as part of an interdisciplinary team. Utilize the nursing process to assess patients upon admission and with changes in condition; develop and implement plans of care; administer medications and IV therapy; advocate for patients and families; ensure accurate documentation and compliance with policies and regulatory standards; collaborate with case management for discharge planning; manage specialized equipment and safety protocols; contribute to unit performance and quality measures. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, 1 year of acute inpatient RN experience, CA RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS (CNOR preferred); 10-hour days; union environment.
Required Qualifications
- Req Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Req 1 year Acute inpatient hospital experience as RN
- Req Excellent communication skills (English)
- Req Knowledge of medical procedures and conditions (whole blood collection, apheresis procedures)
- Req Registered Nurse - RN (CA Board of Registered Nursing)
- Req Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider (AHA)
- Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City)
- Req Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Healthcare Provider (AHA)
Desired Qualifications
- CNOR (Preferred)
- ICU and/or Telemetry experience (Preferred)
- Professional Certification (Preferred)
