Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in 8E Pulmonary Medicine Telemetry on a full-time night-shift assignment provides nursing care using the nursing process across assessment, diagnosis, planning, interventions, and documentation. Responsibilities include patient assessment on admission, at shift change, and with change of condition; developing and updating plans of care; administering medications and IV therapy; delegating tasks; patient and family education; discharge planning; adherence to regulatory and safety standards; and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Requires BSN, 1 year of acute inpatient RN experience in the United States, strong communication and clinical skills, and current RN licensure with BLS certification. Location: Los Angeles, CA; Union, non-exempt; 12-hour night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Req Bachelor’s Degree Nursing Degree in Nursing (BSN) *Grandfathered from BSN if hired prior to 12/2019
- Req 1 year Acute inpatient hospital experience as RN in United States
- Req Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read and write English proficiently.
- Req Knowledge of medical procedures and conditions and ability to understand, follow and successfully perform duties, including whole blood collection, and apheresis procedures, in accordance with administrative and clinical policies, regulations and procedures.
- Req Committed to excellence in patient care and customer service.
- Req Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision.
- Pref Specialty Certification Required Licenses/Certifications: Req Registered Nurse - RN (CA Board of Registered Nursing) Req Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
- Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
