RN Clinical - 7 W Surgical ICU - Full Time 12 Hour Days (Non-Exempt) (Union)

RN Clinical role in the 7 West Surgical ICU, full-time, 12-hour day shifts (non-exempt, union). Uses the nursing process to provide therapeutic care, coordinates patient care and education, and adheres to standards, policies, and practices. Essential duties include nursing assessment at admission/change of condition, diagnostics formulation of nursing diagnoses, development and documentation of individualized plans of care, administration of medications and IV therapy, delegation where appropriate, patient advocacy, and ensuring documentation across admissions, daily flow sheets, and discharge planning. Requires BSN, CA RN license, and active BLS and ACLS certifications; minimum 1 year of acute inpatient hospital experience; strong communication skills; compliance with regulatory requirements (HIPAA/OSHA, JCAHO standards); ability to work independently and deliver education to patients and families. Salary range $44.00–$95.00 per hour (annualized to $91,520–$197,600 approximate); proficient in medication administration, IV/pump usage, and critical-care patient management.
