RN Clinical - 4S ICU; Full Time 12 Hour Days. Provides therapeutic nursing care using the Nursing Process in a 4S ICU across inpatient units, coordinating patient care and education for patients and families. Responsibilities include performing thorough nursing assessments on admission, during shifts, and with changes in condition; developing and updating care plans; administering medications and IV therapies; delegating tasks per scope and competency; ensuring documentation accuracy across multiple forms; patient safety compliance (HIPAA/OSHA/JCAHO); facilitating discharge planning and collaboration with case management; providing patient and family education; utilizing NIC/MICROMEDEX resources; maintaining unit operations and promoting safety; participating in professional development and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. Preferred credentials include ACLS and specialty certification; licensure requirements include California RN license and BLS; the role emphasizes critical care management of post-surgical and complex medical patients, with emphasis on hemodynamic monitoring, isolation precautions, and compliance with regulatory standards.
