Job Summary
RN Clinical role in Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant setting. Provides direct patient care using the nursing process, conducts thorough assessments, develops and implements individualized care plans, administers medications and IV therapy, and ensures accurate documentation. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, educates patients and families, coordinates discharge planning, and adheres to regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, universal protocols). Requires proficiency in managing complex oncology patients, including post-surgical and transplant care, and maintaining safety and quality measures. BSN required with active California RN license; ACLS/BLS required; Oncology/OCN preferred; 1 year of acute inpatient experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Certified Nursing Program.
- Bachelor’s Degree Nursing (BSN)
- Registered Nurse - RN (CA Board of Registered Nursing)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Healthcare Provider
- Oncology Certified Nurse - preferred (OCN)
- Fire Life Safety Training (LA City)
- ACLS/OCN preferred within six months of hire
- 1 year of acute inpatient hospital experience in the United States
- Excellent communication skills (English)
- Knowledge of medical procedures and conditions including whole blood collection and apheresis procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
