Job Summary
Prepare patients for surgery by performing diagnostic tests required by surgeons and anesthesiologists, documenting past medical and surgical history, and reporting abnormal results to the appropriate team members. Also prepare patients for the cath lab and other hospital admissions. Maintain accurate documentation of current home medications and communicate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other hospital departments. Manage situations involving family, visitors, and patients of varied ages and needs within a fast-paced environment. Requires a BSN, current Alabama license, and three years of varied clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Current Alabama license
- BSN preferred
