Job Summary
Conduct perioperative nursing care for orthopedic, spine, and trauma cases during the first shift, identifying patient needs, executing therapeutic orders, and evaluating outcomes. Complete circulating RN duties including instrument counts, surgical safety verification, and patient monitoring. Requires current Alabama nursing licensure, BCLS certification, and successful completion of a Perioperative RN program. Schedule is PRN for the first shift. Huntsville Hospital Health System offers a specialized Orthopedic & Spine Tower, Level III Neonatal ICU, and extensive professional development resources including a Nurse Residency Program and Clinical Ladder.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Accredited School Of Nursing
- Current nursing Alabama or multi-state Licensure
- BCLS (must be completed within the Provisionary Period)
- Successfully completed a Perioperative RN program
- Prior experience as a circulating RN
