Job Summary
The RN-Circulator is responsible for assessing and diagnosing nursing care needs, prescribing and delegating patient care, maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, and upholding nursing practice standards and ethics. The role involves teaching patients and staff, ensuring effective communication in a surgical setting, and performing all nursing procedures according to established policies. The candidate must possess relevant nursing certifications and demonstrate knowledge of sterile techniques and patient care procedures. Participation in continuous education and commitment to quality improvement is required.
Required Qualifications
- BLS certification or obtains within six months of hire
- ACLS certification or obtains within six months of hire
- PALS certification or obtains within six months of hire
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Post high school education consisting of associate, bachelors, masters or doctorate degrees in nursing
