Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Neonatal ICU responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care on a neonatal unit. Provides supervision of non-RN personnel, may serve as charge nurse, and participates in education and discharge planning. Requires competency in neuro assessment, airway management, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and specialized neonatal procedures; BSN preferred and CT RN licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN Preferred
- Experience: 1 year Neonatal ICU RN experience required
- Licensure: Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- Skills: BLS Required
- Additional: Demonstrates competency in neonatal assessment, airway management, care of trached patient, and related Neonatal ICU procedures; ability to supervise non-RN staff and function as a charge nurse or preceptor.
