Job Summary
RN – Neonatal ICU at YNHHS. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care on a nursing unit; supervising non-RN personnel; serving as charge nurse or preceptor; potential assignment to other units; coordinating and documenting plans of care, discharge planning, and patient/family education; collaborating with the healthcare team; providing education after assessing learning needs; caring for neuro patients and performing neuro procedures; airway management and suctioning (pharyngeal, endotracheal, tracheostomy); care for ventilated patients and those with tracheostomies; demonstrating knowledge of the Tia teaching program; and maintaining performance expectations in service, teamwork, and resource utilization. Requirements include BSN preferred and 1 year NICU RN experience; Connecticut RN license; BLS.”,
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- 1 Year Neonatal ICU RN experience required
- BLS Required
- Proficient in use of computer software to include electronic patient records
- Ability to use internet for literature searches regarding care for patients
