Job Summary
Assess patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, and delegating interventions based on patient status. Execute therapeutic physician orders and nursing interventions while evaluating patient response and progress toward outcomes. Coordinate care between professional disciplines and help patients and staff identify problems and explore alternative choices. Requires a current Alabama RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification, with experience in a critical care setting demonstrating supervisory ability. Full-time, first shift.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Alabama license
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- ACLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Previous nursing experience in a critical care setting
- Successful demonstration of supervisory and/or management ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to prioritize and change tasks frequently and quickly
