Job Summary
Assess patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, and delegating therapeutic nursing interventions in the Surgical Vascular ICU Step Down unit. Execute physician orders, evaluate patient responses to care, and coordinate between professional disciplines as needed. Help patients and staff identify problems and explore alternative choices and outcomes. Requires current Alabama RN license, BLS, ACLS, and critical care supervisory experience. Full-time 1st shift weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Alabama license
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- ACLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Previous nursing experience in a critical care setting
- Successful demonstration of supervisory and/or management ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to prioritize and change tasks frequently and quickly
- Availability for weekend shifts
- Availability for 1st shift
