Job Summary
Direct and oversee daily unit activities by making patient assignments, managing bed flow, and rounding with physicians. Coordinate emergency services staffing, review discharge plans, and monitor equipment inventory to ensure safe care delivery. Lead interdisciplinary rounds, consult on clinical concerns, and support staff development through mentorship and shared governance participation. Maintain compliance with nursing standards while promoting evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- Knowledge of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
- Implementation of the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association
