Job Summary
Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during the 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs, developing and distributing assignments to ensure population-appropriate care. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care, identify issues affecting desired outcomes, and respond to complaints through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, directing, and evaluating staff. Requires current Alabama RN licensure, BLS certification, and one year of cumulative job-specific experience.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- 1 year of cumulative job specific experience
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS and PALS certification
