Job Summary
Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership to ensure clinical objectives and quality patient care are implemented in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during the 7p-7a night shift, while contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs to develop and distribute assignments for 12 adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs. Evaluate patient care effectiveness, identify issues affecting outcomes, and manage patient care complaints through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff. Currently licensed as an RN by the Alabama Board of Nursing with BLS certification within 30 days of hire is required.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- 1 year of cumulative job specific experience
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS and PALS certification
