Job Summary
Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership to ensure implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during the 7p-7a shift, while contributing to or performing performance evaluations of team members. Assess daily patient care needs for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs, develop and distribute patient care assignments, and evaluate the effectiveness of care to identify issues affecting desired outcomes. Respond to complaints about patient care and manage them through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- 1 year of cumulative job specific experience
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS and PALS certification
