Job Summary
Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during the 7p-7a shift, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs, develop and distribute assignments for 12 beds serving adult and geriatric patients, and evaluate care effectiveness to identify issues affecting outcomes. Respond to patient care complaints through established channels and provide input for hiring, training, and staff development. Currently licensed as an RN by the Alabama Board of Nursing with one year of cumulative job-specific experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted certification for BLS
- ACLS and PALS certification
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Professional licensure/certification
- 1 year of cumulative job specific experience
