Job Summary
Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during the shift, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs, developing and distributing assignments to ensure population-appropriate care. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting desired outcomes, while responding to complaints through established channels. May provide input for hiring, training, directing, and evaluating of staff. Full-time nights- 7p-7a at UAB St. Vincent's East.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- 1 year of cumulative job specific experience
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
