RN - Charge Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care Unit - Nights

Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during the shift, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs to develop and distribute assignments for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs, evaluating care effectiveness to identify issues affecting outcomes. Respond to patient care complaints through established channels and provide input for hiring, training, and staff development. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing with at least one year of cumulative job-specific experience is required. Full-time night shift coverage from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. at UAB St. Vincent's East.
