Oversee nursing unit operations during assigned shifts by supervising staff, delegating tasks, and coordinating patient care plans with physicians and departments. Manage bed assignments, monitor patient flow, and conduct rounding to evaluate care delivery and satisfaction while ensuring adherence to safety standards and infection control protocols. Lead efforts in infection prevention, facilitate staff education, and respond to emergencies with direct care as necessary. Maintain compliance with hospital policies and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
