Job Summary
The RN Charge Nurse is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing with coordinating quality care for facility residents. Duties include assessing residents, assisting with rounds, medication administration, and charting. The role involves monitoring staff, ensuring compliance with nursing standards, maintaining confidentiality, and addressing any resident care concerns. Applicants must be licensed registered nurses with strong communication skills, have a commitment to quality care, and ensure safety in the workplace.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school
- Current, valid RN license in the state of employment
- Freedom from illegal use of drugs
- Freedom from use and effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
- Eligibility free from abuse, neglect, or mistreatment of individuals in a healthcare setting
Desired Qualifications
- Current CPR certification
- Additional certification in nursing specialty
Additional Requirements
- Ineligibility due to a court conviction related to abuse, neglect, or mistreatment in a healthcare setting
