Job Summary
Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts while assessing daily patient care needs and distributing assignments to ensure population-appropriate care. Collaborate with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes, evaluate the effectiveness of patient care, and manage complaints through established channels. Contribute to or perform performance evaluations of staff and provide input for hiring, training, and development. Maintain a constant state of alertness and safe manner while performing other duties as assigned. This role supports leadership and coordination of unit staffing within the Med Surg department at MO-SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- One year of registered nurse experience
