Job Summary
Direct and oversee daily unit activities, including making patient assignments, reviewing discharge plans, and coordinating with physicians and surgeons. Manage resources by monitoring equipment inventory, adjusting staffing for surges, and assigning surgery beds. Lead interdisciplinary rounds to evaluate patient care quality, provide peer coaching, and ensure compliance with evidence-based protocols. Mentor team members, facilitate shared governance participation, and drive performance improvement initiatives to maintain safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- RN licensure
- Knowledge of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
