Job Summary
Direct and oversee daily unit activities, including making patient assignments, conducting daily discharge reviews, and rounding with physicians. Manage bed flow and surgery bed assignments, monitor equipment inventory, and coordinate staffing during surges or shortages. Lead interdisciplinary rounds, perform patient assessments, and provide oversight for the nursing process while ensuring safety and quality standards. Mentor new grads and staff as a preceptor, participate in shared governance committees, and drive evidence-based practice initiatives. Round on every patient daily to evaluate care appropriateness and implement corrective actions when needed.
Required Qualifications
- RN licensure
