RN Charge Nurse

Plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate the nursing services department in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Direct nursing programs by managing physician orders, recertification, medication reviews, in-services, infection control, utilization review, and public relations. Determine staffing needs, facilitate interdepartmental coordination, and conduct performance evaluations while monitoring employee conduct. Solicit and report resident and family complaints, organize resident care functions, and document observations and interventions. Prepare departmental reports for the Nursing Home Administrator, participate in agency surveys and committees, and oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges. Develop and update written policies and procedures. Perform emergency procedures such as CPR.
