Job Summary
The RN Charge Nurse at Stoughton Health supervises and coordinates patient care duties of nursing staff during assigned shifts, serving as a critical resource during evening and overnight hours. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS, along with implementing crisis intervention training. Candidates must possess an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, be licensed in Wisconsin, and demonstrate intermediate skills in Microsoft Office. This Full-Time position requires variable shifts with weekend and holiday duties.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Currently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse in good standing
- Current BLS certification at hire
- ACLS certification within 90 days of hire
- NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days of hire
- PALS certification within 6 months of hire
- FEMA HICS 100, 200 and 700 certifications
- Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years
