Job Summary
Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, including contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs to develop and distribute assignments, ensuring population-appropriate care is delivered. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting desired outcomes. Respond to complaints about patient care and manage them through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff. Requires current Alabama RN licensure, BLS certification within 30 days, and one year of cumulative job-specific experience. Full-time night shift from 7pm to 7am at UAB St. Vincent's East- Trussville, Al.
Required Qualifications
- Full-time Night shift -7pm-7am
- UAB St. Vincent's East- Trussville, Al.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
- ACLS and PALS may be reguired in some units (Step Down, ED and ICU) within 6-months of date hire or transfer
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and professional licensure/certification required
- 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required
