Job Summary
Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership to ensure implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the MICU Stepdown area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff while contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs, develop and distribute assignments, and evaluate the effectiveness of care to identify issues affecting desired outcomes. Respond to complaints about patient care and manage them through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff. Full-time night shift from 7pm to 7am. Required Qualifications
- Full-time Night shift -7pm-7am
- UAB St. Vincent's East- Trussville, Al.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
- ACLS and PALS
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure/certification
- 1 year of cumulative job specific experience
