Job Summary
Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the MICU Stepdown area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during the assigned night shift, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs to develop and distribute assignments, ensuring population-appropriate care is delivered. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting desired outcomes, while responding to complaints through established channels. Manage input for hiring, training, directing, and development of staff. Requires current Alabama RN licensure, BLS certification within 30 days, and one year of cumulative job-specific experience. Full-time night shift (7pm-7am) at UAB St. Vincent's East in Trussville, AL.
Required Qualifications
- Full-time Night shift -7pm-7am
- UAB St. Vincent's East- Trussville, Al.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
- ACLS and PALS
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure/certification
- 1 year of cumulative job specific experience
