Job Summary
RN Charge Nurse coordinates patient care across PACU, inpatient units, Radiology, and anesthesia; develops and implements individualized care plans based on assessments and orders; monitors patient progress and adjusts plans; collaborates with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other providers to ensure comprehensive care; manages daily nursing schedules, endoscopy staffing, and equipment; prioritizes patient needs by acuity; serves as a resource for staff on procedures, equipment, and patient care; facilitates effective communication among the healthcare team; supervises nursing assistants and support staff; educates patients and families about care plans and health management; participates in quality improvement initiatives; shift: 6:00PM-6:15AM, may include every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
