Job Summary
Direct and oversee daily unit activities across orthopedics, neuro, surgical, and trauma floors, including making patient assignments, managing bed flow, and rounding with physicians. Lead interdisciplinary rounds to evaluate care quality, coordinate discharge planning, and ensure equipment inventory meets staffing needs. Manage emergency services sections, assign surgery beds, and conduct daily discharge/length-of-stay reviews while supporting staff development and survey readiness. Work night shifts with a $20,000 sign-on bonus, adhering to Georgia Nurse Practice Act standards and WellStar's shared governance model.
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- Knowledge of Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
- Implementation of Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association
