Job Summary
Direct and oversee daily unit activities to ensure safe care delivery, including making patient assignments, rounding with physicians, and managing bed flow in conjunction with surgery schedules. Monitor equipment inventory, participate in resource planning for staffing surges, and proactively plan patient care across the continuum. Lead interdisciplinary rounds to evaluate care quality, provide peer coaching, and implement corrective actions while serving as a preceptor for new grads and students. Collaborate with nurse managers on performance concerns and support performance improvement initiatives through shared governance.
Required Qualifications
- RN licensure
- Knowledge of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
