Job Summary
Direct and oversee daily unit activities to ensure safe patient care delivery, including making patient assignments, reviewing discharges and length of stay, and rounding with physicians. Manage bed flow and surgery bed allocation, monitor equipment inventory, and coordinate staffing during surges or shortages. Lead interdisciplinary rounds, provide peer coaching, and support performance improvement initiatives while mentoring new grads and float staff. Ensure compliance with Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and WellStar core competencies.
