Job Summary
Direct unit operations by making patient assignments, reviewing discharge lengths of stay, and managing surgery bed flow in conjunction with the surgical schedule. Lead daily interdisciplinary rounds with physicians to evaluate care quality and implement corrective actions, while overseeing equipment inventory and staffing adjustments during surges or shortages. Mentor new grads and float staff as a preceptor, ensuring compliance with Georgia Nurse Practice Act standards and WellStar Shared Governance models.
