Job Summary
Identify patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, and delegating therapeutic nursing interventions. Execute physician orders, evaluate patient responses to care, and coordinate with other professional disciplines. Help patients and staff identify problems, explore alternative choices, and outcomes. Manage critical care unit operations with excellent communication skills in a fast-paced environment requiring frequent task prioritization. Requires current Alabama license, BLS, and ACLS certifications within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Alabama license
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- ACLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Previous nursing experience in a critical care setting
- Successful demonstration of supervisory and/or management ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to prioritize and change tasks frequently and quickly
