Job Summary
RN with 2+ years clinical nursing and diabetes education experience; responsible for developing, reviewing, and revising diabetes education materials; promotes self-management to achieve behavioral and treatment goals; provides diabetes education to patients, families, and caregivers; collaborates with MLKCH Diabetes Care Committee and aligns with ADA Standards of Care; ensures documentation in medical records; utilizes adult learning principles in program planning; conducts group presentations and staff education; must obtain CDCES certification within 6 months of hire; California RN license required; per diem/part-time opportunity; Burbank, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- California Nursing license
- CDCES certification within 6 months of hire
- 2+ years clinical nursing experience
- 2+ years diabetes education experience
- BCLS
- EHR experience preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish)
