Job Summary
Implement the Nursing Division's philosophy, objectives, standards of care, policies, and procedures under the direction of the Nursing Supervisor or Office Manager. Provide direct patient care while training new clinical employees in office protocols. Maintain current BLS certification and demonstrate knowledge of current trends and techniques in nursing. Assess patient data reflective of status and interpret information needed to identify age-specific requirements relative to unit policies and procedures. Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
- Current RN license with North Carolina State Board of Nursing or Compact License recognized by NC State Board of Nursing
- Maintains current BLS certification
- Knowledge of current trends and techniques in nursing
- Possesses the ability to relate effectively to patients, their families, physicians, staff and all others using proper channels of communication
- Recognizes the importance of being a professional role model for others
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit(s)
- Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
- Possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs
- Provide the care needed as described in the unit's/area's/ department's policies and procedures
- Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence
