Job Summary
RN/Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) leveraging the nursing process to deliver direct patient care from admission to discharge. Responsibilities include performing patient assessments/reassessments, developing and coordinating individualized plans of care including discharge planning, directing and evaluating nursing care within the assigned clinical setting, delegating appropriately, documenting care per procedure, educating patient and family, coordinating with other healthcare providers, administering medications and therapies, assisting with procedures, participating in Nursing Governance and quality improvement initiatives, and supporting staff education and development. Maintains quality of care, adheres to safety standards, and supports the organization’s Standards of Respect and patient-centered care.”,
Required Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts licensure and registration
- Completion of an accredited school of nursing program
- BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications and competencies
