Job Summary
Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for medical/surgical patients. Partner with an interdisciplinary team including attending physicians, registered nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education. This role is based at Good Samaritan University Hospital, a Magnet® facility on Long Island's south shore, serving over 100,000 patients annually.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in Oncology
- 1+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) medical/surgical experience with an interest in Oncology
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Desired Qualifications
- Will consider Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
- Passion for Oncology
