Job Summary
Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for cardiac telemetry step down patients with conditions such as chest pains, positive troponin, Congestive Heart Failure, and arrhythmias. Partner with an interdisciplinary team including attending physicians, registered nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education. This role is located at St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center in Roslyn, NY, where the facility is recognized as a national leader for Cardiology and Open Heart surgery.
Required Qualifications
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) required from the American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in Telemetry preferred
- Experience reading cardiac monitors preferred
