Job Summary
Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for cardiac telemetry step-down patients with conditions such as chest pains, positive troponin, congestive heart failure, and arrhythmias. Partner with an interdisciplinary team including attending physicians, registered nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes. Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety interventions, emotional support, and education. This role is for a Registered Nurse at St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center, New York State's only specialty designated cardiac center, where nursing care is nationally recognized with multiple Magnet designations.
Required Qualifications
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) required from the American Heart Association
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in Telemetry preferred
- Experience reading cardiac monitors preferred
