Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient assessments, initiate IV lines, and administer prescribed medications in the Cath Lab. Assist the cardiologist during catheterization procedures while monitoring vital signs, hemodynamic data, and sedation levels. Manage potential complications and respond to medical emergencies, including CPR and code team activities. Educate patients and families on procedures, treatment plans, and post-discharge care. Coordinate care based on physician orders and adhere to infection control protocols and National Patient Safety Goals. Document patient care accurately and participate in performance improvement initiatives. Maintain regular attendance and ensure equipment functionality throughout pre-, during, and post-procedure phases.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation
