Job Summary
The RN CASUAL- OPERATING ROOM assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients in the operating room. Responsibilities include maintaining professional and technical knowledge, adhering to quality care standards, ensuring patient safety through infection control, effective communication within the health care team, and maintaining patient confidentiality. The role requires supervision of nursing teams and involvement in continuous quality improvement, with potential involvement in OR surgical duties, including assisting surgeons, preparing patients, and maintaining a sterile environment. Essential qualifications include a valid nursing degree and licensure, strong leadership, and organizational skills. The position maintains flexible scheduling based on operational needs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI clearance with renewal required.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- One (1) year medical/surgical, operating room or surgical center experience.
- CNOR certification.
