Job Summary
The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients while coordinating and participating as part of an interdisciplinary health team. Responsibilities include maintaining nursing knowledge, adhering to care standards, protecting patients through compliance with infection control protocols, documenting patient care, ensuring equipment operation, and maintaining inventory of nursing supplies. Required skills include strong leadership, independent thinking, and communication abilities. Mandatory qualifications include an accredited Nursing Program degree and relevant state licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program required.
- Current NIH Stroke Scale or within six (6) months of hire or transfer into department.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- One (1) year medical-surgical experience.
- ACLS preferred.
Additional Requirements
- A Nursing refresher course may be required if employee hasn’t worked in an acute care setting for his / her most recent three consecutive years of professional employment.
