Job Summary
RN Clinical Nurse (Hospice) works as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide individualized high-quality, safe patient care in a hospice setting. Responsibilities include performing the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation), coordinating care through effective partnerships, delivering relationship-based patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity, and promoting evidence-based practice. The role emphasizes teamwork and collaboration, documentation, performance improvement involvement, precepting/mentoring other professionals, and adherence to professional standards and policies. Requires a BSN, RN licensure, and relevant certifications with significant experience (minimum 10 years of direct patient care) to support advanced nursing practice within WellStar’s governance and quality frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
- RN licensure (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong English communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in fast-paced healthcare environment; ability to respond to emergencies with decisive, composed manner
