Job Summary
RN Case Manager - Utilization Review (Per Diem) is responsible for discharge planning and providing proficient utilization management services to ensure maximum reimbursement for patient visits. The role requires collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team to achieve quality healthcare outcomes. Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an active Nevada RN license, possess 3+ years of clinical experience (utilization review/management or case management preferred), and have strong data-management skills. The position is based in Summerlin South, NV (on-site per diem).
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nevada
- Minimum three years experience in varied clinical settings
- Two years experience in Utilization Review, Utilization Management or Case Management preferred
- Knowledge of social and physical factors that affect functional status at discharge
- Knowledge of community resources to meet post-discharge clinical and social needs
- Proficiency with computer word processing, spreadsheets, and data collection/management programs
- Ability to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department
