Job Summary
Establish a safe, individualized discharge and provide proficient, timely utilization management services to ensure maximum reimbursement for all patient visits. Achieve quality healthcare outcomes through proactive collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team. Maintain knowledge of social and physical factors affecting functional status at discharge and utilize community resources to meet post-discharge clinical and social needs. This full-time role operates within the Valley Health System's integrated network serving over two million people in Southern Nevada, supporting care across multiple hospital centers including Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- A minimum three years experience in varied clinical settings
- Has a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department
- Computer proficiency to include word processing, spreadsheet, and data collection/management computer programs
Desired Qualifications
- Two years experience in Utilization Review, Utilization Management or Case Management
