Job Summary
Establish a safe, individualized discharge and provide proficient, timely utilization management services to ensure maximum reimbursement for all patient visits. Collaborate proactively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to achieve quality healthcare outcomes. Apply knowledge of social and physical factors affecting functional status at discharge while utilizing community resources to meet post-discharge clinical and social needs. Maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Nevada and demonstrate proficiency in data collection and management systems. This role supports the Valley Health System's integrated network serving over two million people in Southern Nevada.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- A minimum three years experience in varied clinical settings
- Has a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department
- Computer proficiency to include word processing, spreadsheet, and data collection/management computer programs
Desired Qualifications
- Two years experience in Utilization Review, Utilization Management or Case Management
