Job Summary
RN Case Manager coordinates patient needs in a substance-use treatment setting, working with MAT (Medications for Addiction Treatment) and collaborating with providers and support staff. The role emphasizes customer-service oriented case management, autonomous nursing judgment, and 30-40 percent of time spent coordinating by phone while maintaining face-to-face contact. The candidate should be comfortable with expanded hours and potential coverage for the Valley location, and be prepared to work within Alaska Native/American Indian preference in employment. The position requires a nursing license in Alaska, BLS (and specialty certifications as required: ACLS/NRP/ATLS/PALS), and since the role involves coordinating care for a Native population, demonstrates cultural competence and sensitivity to community needs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- License in the State of Alaska as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty
- One (1) year nursing experience or successful completion of the RN Case Manager Training Program at SCF
